Backstep is an active skill that is automatically learned by archers upon character creation and cannot be ranked.

Backstep can be preformed with a bow by the archer to take a step back. Preforming Backstep allows the Archer to jump backwards, instantly taking a step back in order to dodge an attack or gain more distance during combat.

To glyph Backstep, a glyph must be obtained and learned only once. At level 60, a character has 50 glyph points available to spend on all available archer glyphs. Most glyphs, specifically common glyphs can be purchased from a glyph master, while fine glyphs must be looted from enemies.
