Whirlwind is an active skill that can be learned by Slayers. It is cast with Greatsword.

Whirlwind is one of the main damage skills of slayer. It's very strong damage skill, albeit with low innate crit rate. Skill is slow-casting, luckily there are combos to speed it up.

This skill hits two times. It should be noted that Overpower +30% damage effect, and some other effects with "on next hit", only affect first, lower damage hit.

Whirlwind is also AOE skill, that damages all enemies it hits with full force. This requires learning passive skill Whirlwind Boost. This makes Whirlwind very good clearing groups of mobs. Passive Propulsion also decreases cooldown of Measured Slice each time Whirlwind hits, which make slayer pretty good clearing groups of mobs.

Skill was significantly buffed in patch v112 in December 2021. It now has double chance to crit in addition to old triple crit factor (+52×2 crit).[1]

Whirlwind was earlier learned at level 2. In fact, it was only decent damage skill for a long time until more skills were unlocked. This made slayer quite horrible class on low levels. With leveling skill changes it's available at level 6 but more faster-casting skills are available too.

Rank table[]

To upgrade Whirlwind to the next rank, one must find a Tactics Instructor or open the skill menu, and pay a certain price of gold dependent on rank.

Glyphs[]

Upon getting level 20, glyph points can be allocated on Whirlwind. At level 65, a character has 55 glyph points available to spend on all available slayer glyphs. Most glyphs, specifically common glyphs, are learned automatically, while Master Glyphs must be obtained from dungeon drops or glyph boxes.
